Musculoskeletal Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to visualize the anatomy of the human body, avoiding unnecessary radiation that could cause harm. It is safe and takes less time compared to more invasive imaging. Tendon and ligament tears, tumors, cysts, inflammation, arthritis and nerve damage can be visualized. During a CT scan or MRI, one cannot move or else the image will be compromised. Musculoskeletal ultrasound allows needle visualization during the procedure and ensure its proper location to deliver the medication, all in the comfort of the clinic.
