About Dr. Farzad Pourarian
Farzad Pourarian D.O. MS MED
Farzad Pourarian D.O. MS MEd is Board Certified in both Internal & Sports Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the American College of Osteopathic Internists as well as the American Osteopathic Association of Sports Medicine. Dr. Pourarian received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After finishing an Internal Medicine residency at Millcreek Hospital, he completed a Sports Medicine fellowship as part of LECOM Health System. He served as Chief Internal Medicine Resident as well as Chief Fellow in both programs. During his residency, he completed a Masters of Medical Education at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Nonsurgical, functional & regenerative medicine
His practice involves extensive use of diagnostic and therapeutic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Osteopathic Manipulation, and Bio-Regenerative Injection Therapy, specifically stem cell injections, prolotherapy, and platelet rich plasma injections. His medical school, residency, and fellowship training in Osteopathy focuses on the holistic approach and enables him to offer osteopathic manipulations, using a hands-on approach to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury.
Dr. Pourarian’s philosophy is that adequate physical activity is essential to health and allows people to maintain quality of life and happiness. It is his goal to optimize one’s ability to perform physical activity and keep people doing what they love the most.
